Our story

Here at the Leather's Smithy, our goal is to create, serve and enjoy excellent restaurant quality food and drink in a friendly, relaxed and traditional pub environment.

All of our meals are freshly prepared using locally sourced produce and ingredients so that the food we serve you is as fresh and flavorful as can be.

With four chefs on board we offer an extensive menu and up to  20 daily specials which change on a regular basis alongside unrivalled vegetarian and vegan dishes created and prepared by our specialist chef.

Our family friendly children's menu and new light bite and sandwich range offers great choice and value for money.  We pride ourselves on our reputation as one of the best gastro pubs in the area.

You will also find some of the best kept, fabulous cask ales and  fine wines in the region. Leather's Smithy ale and Deuchars IPA are permanent and we have two rotating guest ales chosen on the basis of taste and quality.
